Becky Rasmussen, LCSW, has worked over the past 18 years with individuals, couples, and in group settings with adults and adolescents facing a wide range of problems, including mental and emotional disorders. As a clinical therapist, she has extensive experience in the areas of trauma, addictions, recovery, sexual abuse, and relationships. Becky has served as a consultant for various treatment and social service agencies. She is a member of NASW.
Tim Markwell, MSW, Director, has worked in human services for over 20 years. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a MSW in Administration and Planning. Tim is an experienced teacher, counselor, consultant, program developer, legislative liaison, administrator, director and entrepreneur. He is a member of NASW.
Marilyn Smyres, LCSW, has been working with children and families for 13 years. She has extensive experience working with individuals and groups dealing with issues of sexual abuse, attention deficit disorder, depression and conflict management. She has worked closely with schools and has been the Chair of several Youth Services Teams. Marilyn did her undergraduate work at Linfield College and received her Masters degree in Social Work from Portland State University. Marilyn specializes in working with adolescents and teens experiencing school-related problems.
Jane Silbernagel, LCSW, has worked with adults, children, and families for over 18 years. She specializes in work with relationship problems, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and life transitions. Jane received her Bachelors in Psychology from John Hopkins University in Maryland, and her Masters from Portland State University. She has worked with adult and children's programs, an Employee Assistance Program, and has been in private practice for over 10 years. She is on the panel of most major managed care organizations. She is a member of NASW.
Casey Mills, MS, NCC, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor experienced in providing counseling to children and families. He has a wide range of experience regarding emotional and behavioral issues, he builds trusting relationships and guides his work towards solutions. He specializes in working with children who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. His treatment with children and families often involves play, art, and parenting skills training. Casey earned a Masters of Science in Counseling from Western Oregon State College.
Gregory Trotter, MA, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has 12 years experience in the mental health profession. He has worked with adults, adolescents and couples, in both group and individual settings. He has experience with clients who are dealing with depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, childhood abuse, life adjustments, transitions, losses, codependency, relationship concerns, dual diagnosis issues, and severe and persistent mental illness. He received his Bachelors from Willamette University and his Master's in Counseling Psychology from Lewis and Clark College.
Ross Cordes, RN, MS, PHMNP, is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has worked in mental health for over 11 years. He has experience in the areas of pharmaceutical research, forensics, MR/DD and autism. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Ross specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression and bipolar illness. He also takes a holistic approach when treating persons with schizophrenia and related problems.
Lori Doede, MS, NCC, LPC, has worked in the human services field since 1978 and as a counselor since 1991. She is experienced in working with individuals, couples and groups. Her areas of specialty include sexual abuse issues, depression/anxiety, alcohol and drug issues, addiction and recovery, self-esteem and disability issues. In addition to working with the general population, she has experience in counseling people who have developmental disabilities.
Linda Bednarz, MT-BC, LPC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Board Certified Music Therapist who has worked in the mental health field for the last 17 years. She provides individual and group therapy for adults with depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, addictions, life transitions, and chronic illnesses. Her specialty is in treating persons with co-occurring mental health and chemical dependency disorders (Dual Diagnosis). She has earned a Masters of Science in Counseling from Western Oregon State College and a Bachelors of Music Therapy from Willamette University.
Deborah A. Austin, LCSW, did her undergraduate work in Family Studies; and received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla College. Deborah is experienced working with children, adolescents and adults in individual, family, and group settings. She has worked successfully with issues of trauma, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, life transitions, women's concerns, dual diagnosis, and couples' work. She is currently an adjunct instructor for a community college teaching classes in stress management and interpersonal communication. She is a member of NASW.
Lori Dixon, LMFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist experienced in providing therapy to children, adults, families and couples. She has a broad range of experience regarding emotional, behavioral, and stressful issues in children and adults. Her treatment with clients is generally within the context of relationships and is a solution-focused approach. Her treatment of children often involves utilization of play therapy, family therapy, and parenting skills training. Lori received a Masters of Science in Family Therapy from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.
Fred Cooprider, LCSW, received his MSW degree from Portland State University. He has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working with both adults and children in a variety of individual and group settings. He has experience as a consultant in various school districts, and has facilitated parenting groups in schools and in public mental health settings. He has also helped develop a violence intervention program for youth.
Beth Swain, MA, began working with children and families over 20 years ago. She treats clients dealing with child abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, transitions, career issues, and parenting concerns. She has worked with individuals and groups as an instructor, counselor and consultant. Beth received her Masters in Counseling from George Fox University. She is currently pursuing LPC certification and is an ACA member.
